How do you store leftover cake to keep it fresh?

Did you know that cake can stay fresh for 3-4 days at room temperature? If your cake has a few slices missing, I recommend either placing a piece of waxed paper or cling wrap up against the cut surface of the cake to create a barrier to seal in moisture. Or if you have an abundance of icing on the cake, you can spread some of it along the cut edge of the cake to seal in the moisture as well.
